DEC Boating Course Information

Starting on May 1st 2014 a new law came into effect where all individuals born on or after 5/1/96 are now required to successfully complete an approved course in boater education in order to operate a motorboat.

Area Variance Request: Mr. Matthew Clarkson is seeking an Area Variance, in accordance with Section 3.5 Density Control Table 1 – Density Control Schedule.  The Area Variance request is for the property located at 10395 Steam Town Road, Lindley, NY. he Zoning Board of Appeals will at said time and place, hear all persons in support of such application or any objections thereto.

Special Town Board Meeting July 27th 2016

NOTICE: The Lindley Town Supervisor has called a Special Meeting to be held Wednesday, July 27th at 7:00pm at the Lindley Town Hall, 637 Co. Rte 115 Lindley NY 14858. Special meeting purpose: to vote on referring to the Steuben County Planning Board the minor changes made to the Proposed Zoning Ordinance 2016 following the Public Hearing that was held June 27th, 2016. No other business will occur at this meeting. All interested parties are invited to attend.

Audit Meeting Cancelled for July 20th

Due to illness and vacation, there is no Town Board Quorum, thus the Town Board Audit Meeting has been cancelled for tonight, Wednesday July 20th, 2016.  The next Town Board Meeting is rescheduled for the Wednesday, August 3rd at 7:00 pm at the Lindley Town Hall.

Resolution 13-2016, Subject to Permissive Referendum

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Lindley, Steuben County, New York, at a meeting held on the 13th day of July 2016, duly adopted the following Resolution, subject to a permissive referendum.
Whereas, the Lindley Town Board was apprised of the proper expenditure of funds from Reserve accounts,
Now Therefore Be It Resolved:
The Lindley Town Board as needed will authorize the Chief Fiscal Officer to make expenditures from the “Capital Improvement/Buildings Reserve Fund”, “Contingency/Tax Stabilization Reserve Fund for General Fund”, and “Contingency/Tax Stabilization Reserve Fund for Highway Fund” Reserve Funds solely for the purposes for which they were created.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution is subject to Permissive Referendum
as provided by General Municipal Law Section 6-c and Town Law Article 7, and shall not
take effect until as provided in such sections.
