2016 Tax Warrant in Town Clerk / Tax Collector's Office




TAKE NOTICE that I, Megan E. Thistle, the undersigned Collector of Taxes of the Town of Lindley, County of Steuben, State of New York, have duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Lindley for the year 2016 and that I will attend to my office in the Town Hall at 637 County Rte 115, PO Box 62, Lindley, NY 14858 during the Tax Collection Office Hours of:

MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY:9:00am-1:00pm;THURSDAY:2:00pm-6:00pm and SATURDAY:9:00am-12:00 noon during the months of January, February, and March. 

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that taxes will be collected without penalty if postmarked during the month of January.  A 1% fee will be collected if postmarked during the month of February.  A 2% fee will be collected if postmarked during the month of March.

2016 delinquent taxes will be payable to the Steuben County Finance Office, with an added 5% fee, after March 31, 2016.  Any delinquent taxes from previous years are payable only to the Steuben County Finance Office, but are able to be paid to the Steuben County Finance Office at any time.

A drop box is available outside the Lindley Town Hall for your convenience.  Receipts will be sent by mail.  We accept major CREDIT CARDS online at www.lindleytown.blogspot.com and in-person (non-refundable credit card company fees apply at time of transaction); CHECKS; MONEY ORDERS; CASH.

Two Dell Computers Up for Bid

Two cleaned Dell computers are up for sealed bids, due to the Town Clerk's Office by January 20th, 2016.  Can run Windows XP.  Available to look at in the Town Hall during Town Clerk Office Hours. Town Board will open sealed bids at the January 20th Audit Meeting at the Town Hall at 7:00 pm.

NOTICE: the Lindley Town Board will hold its annual Year-End meeting Wednesday, December 30th at the Lindley Town Hall 637 Cty Rte 115, Lindley NY 14858 at 7:00 pm.  All interested parties are invited.

Lindley Town Clerk/Code Updates: Town Clerk's office will be closed Monday December 21st and Thursday December 24th.  Please also note: Beginning January 1st 2016, Town Clerk Office hours will return to the following: Mon, Tues, Wed 9:00-1:00; Thurs 2:00-6:00 and Sat from 9:00-noon during Jan, Feb, Mar, & Sept. Appointments as needed. The Code Officer holds hours Mondays from 6-8pm.  In addition, Town Clerk/Tax Collector and Code Officer can now accept credit card/debit cards. Card company fees apply. Thank you.

Please note that with recent changes in Town Hall structure, the Lindley Town Clerk's Office Hours can return to the regular hours starting January 1st, 2016:

January through March

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Thursday: 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
*and by appointments

The remainder of the year:
Same as above, without Saturday mornings.

During the month of September:
Same as January through March
