Lindleytown Birthday Celebration Planning Meeting

The July meeting for planning  Lindley’s 225th birthday party  was quite productive. Since then the group (–especially Chairperson  Brenda Criss ) have been busy working on the to-do lists that go with planning such an event. It promises to be afternoon of interesting and fun activities for the young and the old.
Lindley residents will be celebrating the beginnings of one of Steuben County’s first real settlements. (Painted Post/Corning had a few folks living in that area, but there was no community as well planned as Colonel Lindsley’s –”Lindleytown “ in 1790 ).
The afternoon will be a place to renew old friendships and to meet /greet new neighbors.
After this coming meeting, there will  be a better idea of who, what, and when we can publicize.

If you are interested in Lindley’s past history and would like to be a part of the afternoon’s activities, we hope to see you on the 13th.
