The Lindley-Presho Historical Society will meet 7 P.M..Thursday June 25th at the Lindley Town Hall .
Leon Golder of the Patterson Inn in Corning will present a program on Benjamin Patterson –for whom the Inn is named.
The program is of interest to Lindley residents as Benjamin’s younger brother , Robert was an early Lindley resident and land owner.
Perhaps, we will learn more about Robert Patterson’s connection to Lindley. Where did he live?? One old Steuben County History states that he and David Cook brought back the first apple trees to Lindley. Wonder if there are any apple tree descendants remaining ???
Hope to see you there!
Hope we have a good audience for Leon. Hopefully, he will, also, be the guest Blacksmith at Lindleytown Days Sept.19th.at the Lindley Town Hall.
We have had an inquiry about the remains of the “old”Presho bridge. Any ideas or input of location up after the 1946 flood?
